I realized the greatest thing when the twins were 2.  They freak over PRUNES!!  No joke, its like catnip!  They go crazy when they see a bag of prunes and will literally do anything I ask in hopes of earning one.  I don’t know how this possibly came to be!  Those little individually wrapped prunes are always in my purse ready for bribing!  HAAHA I know it’s horrible!  Might as well use it as long as it lasts, right?  They will be so mad when they realize prunes are not a highly coveted dessert item!!!  I’m sure I will never hear the end of it once they are teens…”YOU clean my room mom..I’ll give you a frickin prune if you do it!”

And while we are on weird food preferences- My son loves broccoli!!!!  I am dreading the day some other kid tells him it’s gross.  He acts like they are trees and says he actually feels himself growing bigger every time he eats them.  In the middle of a playdate he actually ran into the kitchen and said “Mommy, if I clean the WHOLE playroom can I have a WHOLE bowl of broccoli?”  Thanks for making me look good Raimy… Too bad I had made cake for the play date (which her kid wasn’t allowed to eat! *insert other mom face of disgust*)…The broccoli comment evened out the view of me though thankfully! Hhahaha

If you have littles, try the prunes!  You’ll feel a whole lot better handing them that instead of a lollipop:)

Just got a crazy yummy and easy tip from my sis.

If you grow rosemary you know that that stuff is insane.  It grows like a weed and you could never use it up if you put it in everything!  I make bouquets out of it and it makes my house smell sooo good!

So here is Ash’s tip:
simmer a sliced lemon, rosemary and 1 tsp of vanilla extract and your house will smell divine!  I am doing it right now and aaahhh delish.  Better than any scented candle…  and when you are finished with it use it in your garbage disposal for a refresher.

I do the same with apples and spices in fall.

Just made a loaf of fresh bread and a chicken dish I make with carmelized onions, dijon mustard and beer in the slow cooker.  (I’d add the recipe but I kinda just throw whatever I have in the pot when I cook!!)  Now I don’t drink (I’m already loud and obnoxious) but I LOOOOVVEE cooking with beer.  My fav is beer bread.  But pour some of that into any pot and it makes it amazing in my opinion.  Anyone have any yummy beer recipes?
