Thank you American Express!

So…got the notice that credit card rewards points will be done away with in the new year, so spend them now.  Weve never used them.  Oops…someone has a swingset headed to them in the mail, and that person is me:)  My kids have a tiny empty yard.  Now they will have hours of fun and mommy will have quiet time inside to cook!!  Happy early birthday to me!!  Oh wait…who will hear me singing show tunes at the top of my lungs in my hot stilettos?  Maybe I will start webcamin.. because my show tunes are not to be missed.  The “I Still Believe” duet with myself from Miss Saigon must be heard…must remember to open windows.  Don’t be surprised if I have a record deal by the new year…I hear Randy Jackson lives nearby.  Don’t say I didn’t warn you Randy.

I will be flying in a few weeks…yes me on a plane….WITH ALL 3 KIDS!!!  Oh dear pashmina!!  I can’t keep MYSELF from hysterically crying from fear on a plane, how do I console or even acknowledge  another human.  I see it now.  A row of screaming children and a mom stretched out across the floor heavily sedated.  “Ma’am, you need to get out of the walkway, ma’am”.  They have to peel me off the floor, at which point, I’m sure I will proceed to ‘drunk girl dance’ and use the nearest seat as a pole.  Just planning for the worst…so when I end up say, barfing in a bag the whole way, I’ll think ‘could be worse’ could be humping the flight attendent’s leg.

I’m always a person that goes into situations expecting the worst.  That way if it is the worst, you’re not surprised, ‘knew that was coming, oh well’.  If it turns out to be good it’s like winning the lottery. ‘Wait what?  You do have Red Bulls left in stock in the back?’  By having a negative outlook, I am in turn the happiest person I know!!

So here we are, almost on the eve of a new year!  What are your resolutions?  Do you even believe in resolutions?  I guess if I did I’d be a svelte 80 pounds by now.  My resolution is to believe in resolutions! Got me some traditions this New Year…so I did have some follow through in a few areas!  Oh me, being my own Tony Robbins.  oh oh I have a good one…  study up on my grammar skills….  zzzzzzz……oh well….I believed it the moment I typed it!!  Sorry, you must continue reading through my butchered version of English.  Happy New Year to all and to all a good night;-)

Any New Years Eve traditions you recommend?

I am very proud…

My sister has been working on a motion capture video game for over a year now.  They still have a year to go. She is one of the main characters.  If you don’t know by now…I am a gamer geek.  The fact that I will soon be able to ‘play’ my sis in a game is frickin awesome.  Motion capture is where they put you in one of those suit with a million sensors and your filmed acting out all scenes.  So the character is totally her.  Her movements, mannerisms, voice and all.

The trailer was recently unveiled at the Video Game Awards…to MUCH anticipation I might add (proud is an understatement!).  So now I stalk the game online and try to find out more and more of the story line.  (Greatest thing about my sis is that she doesn’t ever talk about what she’s working on.  So when I get to see something I have no clue going in what it’s about…so fun!)  So thought I’d share the website incase their are other geeks out there excited for this release!!  The Last Of Us.

The graphics are amazing yes??

Hello all,

I must apologize for the big absences the last few months….  Recent situations have made me have a bad taste in my mouth towards blogging…  I might share more later…  that post would take more thought than I’m able to give at this moment and be filled with anger that needs to calm a bit before putting it to paper:)

But I did want to write and say Happy Holidays and wish everyone an insanely amazing New Year!!  I am so grateful for the sweet responses I have received from so many of you and am so appreciative of everyone who cares enough to actually read this momma’s random crap and rants!

Let’s see…on my mind today….

The Duggars.

I don’t know how you guys feel about this family but I adore them!  I love that people outwardly and loudly oppose their decisions and they could care less.  They keep living what they believe to be true no matter what….you gotta respect that:)  How they keep their home so clean with that many people living in it is beyond me.  I barely can keep up with laundry for me alone, not even counting the man and kids!  I love that they live in the middle of nowhere.  I love that their entertainment is not TV but each other.  I love that they cook all their meals as a family and rarely eat out.  I love that they don’t have debt, they don’t spend money unless they have it in hand.  The children are respectful and the parents run the household with a calm voice!  It seems impossible but they do it!  As crazy a life as it seems I think we all could learn a lot from the Duggars:)

I was online today and came across an audio ‘letter’ to their recently stillborn baby Jubilee.  People are going crazy that they have posted pictures of this child.  I don’t think the public realizes that this happens all the time.  There are photographers for most hospitals that come in and photograph stillborns with their families.  It is done in a very tasteful manner and the pictures are beautiful.  If a family chooses to share these photos, how is that wrong?  It should be a families choice how they chose to grieve a loss and it should be no ones business to judge!  Sure people can have opinions, but to go so far as to find them online and write horrible things to them is ridiculous.

I found the pictures to be beautifully done….
