Alright my lovelies!! We have no more excuses anymore….:)
While searching for farm-ish (yes I know that is not a word) products the other night, I stumbled across an amazing company.
I’m excited to introduce Amber’s Gardens! Named after her daughter, Connie Henderson (Winner of the National Association of Woman Business Owners) started this clever company. She makes ready to plant gardens. Created with children and beginner gardeners in mind, these seed mats take the guesswork out of seed spacing, seed depth and when to plant. They can even be cut to fit into containers! You simply lay the mat on bare soil, cover with soil, water and watch it grow!
These are just 3 of the 9 garden kits she has available. Go check out her website to see all the neat complete garden options she has. www.ambersgarden.com. I’m going to for sure try the Pumpkin Patch with my kiddles:)
I am so excited to try this product that I wrote Connie and asked if she would give therantinghousewife readers a sweet discount. She said yes….so if you are interested in trying this product along with me, we get 20% off! All you have to do is email all your contact info to customer@ambersgarden.com and they will call you back to process your order over the phone. Her website is being redone over the next few weeks…when it’s done we might get a coupon code to make it easier. I will keep you guys updated.
I will follow up with pictures of OUR pumpkin patch. If you try it out, post pics of yours too:)
Inchin my way closer to being a farmgirl y’all! What What!
Ok, maybe you already know (I'm catching up on your blog posts, which I love btw and are making me realize how much I wish I was your next door neighbor) but you seriously need to check out Mary Jane's Farm magazine. She is out of Moscow, Idaho (near where Jerp and I grew up) and not only does she have fabulous advice that can be used by us suburb and city dwellers, but it's a beautiful magazine! Check it out! http://www.maryjanesfarm.com/
I have been a subscriber to Mary Janes Farm since Issue #1 Obsessed! Did you know that she has an amazing bed and breakfast type thing on her farm. You stay in these AMAZING huge canvas tents with wood floors, clawfoot tubs, woodburning fireplaces and as she puts it you all share a one of a kind farmgirl shower! You eat off the farm morning noon and night and learn gardening and farming from Mary Jane herself! Sounds like Heaven! So how bout we splan a trip and finally meet there!!:) The kids would LOVE it!
Ha! That's awesome. My mom and I have talked many times about how fun it would be to stay there. Hmmm… the wheels are turning. We should make it a long term goal, since I pretty much can't do anything until I graduate from college (this December). I'll be coming to CA before I could make a Mary Jane's Farm trip, so we'll meet before then, but yes! It would be an amazing trip to enjoy with a like minded friend.
